Surface Book 3 is Amazing and You Should Try It

So, Microsoft has announced the Surface Book 3 and it will be releasing on the 5th of June. I personally am very excited about this device. It is a 2-in-1 Laptop with a detachable screen. Just this makes this device worthwhile for many people. But it is still a debatable topic. Some people like the detachable screen, others think it is a gimmick. I am a big fan of this feature. This might be an unpopular opinion but hear me out. The detachable screen is not as smooth as detaching an iPad from the Magic Keyboard but, it is 2-3 times faster than the previous generation. Also unlike the previous generation where you had to close all the apps using the discrete GPU, the process is now much smoother as the apps using the discrete GPU automatically shift to the Integrated GPU. How Convenient!  Talking about the GPU lets come to the specifications. For the purpose of this blog, I am considering a 15-inch screen. Why? I’ll talk about it later. For the specs, I have chosen the i7 ...

ARM: The future of Notebooks

If you are an everyday computer user, then you must have used Windows or maybe you are a Mac OS user. You might also have heard about Linux. These operating systems are based on the x86-64 architecture. But, what about mobile devices like Android or iOS or even laptops based on ChromeOS? These devices run on an architecture called ARM. Now, you might want to know about ARM and how it differs from x86-64. ARM is a computer architecture just like x86. It was first used commercially in 1987 in a home computer called the Archimedes. Where it differs from x86 is that ARM is a RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computing) architecture whereas x86 is a CISC (Complex Instruction Set Computing) architecture. Also, the first use of x86 was in the Intel 8086 microprocessor in 1978.  In simple words, ARM was a simpler and less powerful architecture than x86-64. Nowadays, the situation has changed. ARM chips have gotten more powerful over time. This happened due to the increasing influence o...

Motherboards with Ryzen 3000 updated bios

Motherboards with Ryzen 3000 updated bios So, I was looking for some Ryzen 3000 compatible motherboards which come with the updated bios the other day. The experience was not great. I looked up on the internet and didn’t find anything useful. I even checked out some videos by popular tech YouTubers who didn't know how to check for these motherboards. One video I saw was of Bitwit. You can watch that video right here . I had to go through so much trouble in order to find out what I wanted thanks to this tweet by AMD. The tweet says that any motherboard with “AMD Ryzen Desktop 3000 Ready” mark on it will NOT need a BIOS update. Look for this sign on the motherboard’s box. If there is a sign like this, you won’t need a BIOS update. Keep in mind that ALL X570 motherboards are Ryzen 3000 ready. So, this was a quick little blog just to keep you updated on that because the new Ryzen 3 chips will be dropping in May. So, if you want, you can use those chips with these 3000 mot...

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: Finally A Good Budget Android Tablet

Samsung has launched the support pages for the leaked Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Also Samsung Indonesia’s store page , has already listed the Tab S6 Lite. So, what is this tab like? One word - Awesome. This tab packs a punch and is here to compete with apple’s iPad. Price wise the Tab S6 Lite is expected to come at about Rs.29,999. Compare this to the iPad which comes at Rs.29,990. But, the thing with Tab S6 Lite is that it comes with a S-Pen out of the box. However, with the iPad you have to spend another Rs.8000 to Rs.9000 to get an Apple Pencil. This substantial increase in the price just to get an accessory which Samsung includes out of the box, makes me like the Tab S6 Lite more than the iPad.  Let’s go more in depth and talk about the specs. It has the Exynos 9611 chipset which is Samsung’s gold standard for budget devices nowadays. It is more than enough for getting your basic tasks done even for gaming. You can get smooth performance both in normal tasks and in gaming. M...

Xbox Series X: Could it win the next generation?

Microsoft has been very successful in generating hype for its next-generation console- Xbox Series X. Up to this point, Microsoft has always been one step ahead of Sony in giving out information about its console to gamers. Its specifications also look much better than the PS5’s. So, today I will go in detail about the Xbox Series X and see if it has any chance of winning the next generation of consoles. First, let's talk about the specs.  The Xbox Series X has an AMD Ryzen Zen2 based CPU clocked at 3.8GHz without Simultaneous Multi-Threading and runs at 3.6GHz with SMT enabled. Compare this to the max frequency of 3.5GHz in the PS5 and the clear winner here is the Xbox Series X. On the GPU side of things, the Xbox has a 12 Teraflop GPU compared to the 10.28 Teraflop one on the PS5. So, here too the Xbox Series X is the clear winner. Long story short the Xbox beats the PS5 in every way except the SSD, which in the PS5 is way better than the one in the Xbox.  Use of p...

Asus has been launching some very good phones since last year and one such phone is the Asus Zenfone 6Z, which was launched in May 2019. It was launched at a price of Rs.39,999 for the best variant and now after 5 months from launch, its price has dropped by Rs.4000 and has become Rs.35,999. At this price range, this is a killer deal. And with these specs, this phone is a must buy. First, the processor. It comes with a Snapdragon 855 processor which is one of the best processors in the market right now. The top variant also comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and there’s a 5000mAh battery to go with it. The camera is something that Asus was highlighting in the marketing of this phone. It has a 48MP + 13MP flip camera. I know that a lot of people get in tension when they hear the term...

M30s Review after two weeks of usage

So, it has been two weeks since I have shifted to the Galaxy M30s as my daily driver phone and in this time I was able to figure out the pros and cons of this phone. Today I will be discussing with you some of these points to help you decide whether you should buy this phone or not. For this, I will be going over point by point. These Points will be as follows: The Performance The Battery The Camera The Software Overall Result Firstly, The Performance. In the performance department, I am very satisfied with this phone. It has an Exynos 9611 processor that plays all the games without any lag. I played Call of Duty and boy it ran so smooth! I played it on medium settings with the highest frame rate and there was not even any heating issue. Also, it doesn’t officially support Fortnite but with some tweaks, I was able to run it on 30 FPS low settings. Although it does have some frame drops but it is kind of playable. However, I do not suggest playing Fortni...

Schools Need to Make .edu E-Mail Addresses for Students

Students and Teachers are the most important asset of a school. They make up a school if you understand what I am trying to say. Nowadays schools all over the world are getting more technical. They are taking study to the next level, with all that stuff like smart-class, PCs in class and much more. If a school has all that this means that the school also has a website. Most of these kinds of schools do. Now with a website which has .edu domain, new possibilities open up. Every website has the capability to receive E-Mail or at least it can get this function if the creator asks for it. Now keeping that in mind, if we compare it with what is the situation today in countries like India, is that schools do usually make websites for their schools, but don’t usually pay attention to the email function. Some schools out there are such that after making a website, they don’t even bother about it. This situation needs to change. For this purpose, some companies have even taken some concrete st...
