Schools Need to Make .edu E-Mail Addresses for Students

Students and Teachers are the most important asset of a school. They make up a school if you understand what I am trying to say. Nowadays schools all over the world are getting more technical. They are taking study to the next level, with all that stuff like smart-class, PCs in class and much more. If a school has all that this means that the school also has a website. Most of these kinds of schools do. Now with a website which has .edu domain, new possibilities open up. Every website has the capability to receive E-Mail or at least it can get this function if the creator asks for it. Now keeping that in mind, if we compare it with what is the situation today in countries like India, is that schools do usually make websites for their schools, but don’t usually pay attention to the email function. Some schools out there are such that after making a website, they don’t even bother about it. This situation needs to change. For this purpose, some companies have even taken some concrete steps. I will talk about some of the steps taken by these companies to make schools change their pattern.

Amazon Prime Free for 3 Months

Now, this is something that is very useful for students. Prime offers free 1 Day and 2 Day delivery. And we know that Amazon offers a great range of stationery products. And also with Prime, we can get exclusive discounts on stationery items that Amazon offers. So, this is really nice for a student.

Google Suite for Education

You may not know, but Google provides its own share of application for Students and teachers. This includes institution-wide email with Gmail, Shared calendar for use like a school event planner, classroom collaboration with Google, unlimited G-Cloud storage and much more.

Discounts on Adobe CC

Adobe’s Software might be the best Designing software out there for students and with a .edu account, you can get these at about a 60% discount. This includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and about 20+ applications.

Autodesk Software

Now comes the time for 3D software. I personally have an interest in 3D and do use Blender because it is free. But, today schools can get their students the best 3D software for free because Autodesk provides this software for free to students. These include Maya, 3DS Max and much more.

GitHub For Students

For those who don’t know what GitHub is, It is a web-based hosting service for version control using Git. It is mostly used for computer code. It offers all of the distributed version control and source code management (SCM) functionality of Git as well as adding its own features. So this is very useful for students who want to go into the field of software.

Microsoft Office 365 Free

Microsoft Office, our life in computers begins with MS Office and it is like the base of modern computers. We need to have the basic knowledge of Office because it comes handy in all the fields today. Every computer book sets this software as the base of children’s computer knowledge. Every school without an email system has to purchase this software for money. But the schools which already have the institution licence don’t need to purchase these with money. Instead, they get it free due to a scheme of Microsoft.

These were just some of the benefits of student emails. And by reading this only we feel the schools without an email system are missing just so much. If you are reading this as a student, tell your teacher about it. If you are a teacher, tell the head of the school that you need this system. Because, if people are not aware of things, then how can the world improve?

So, LG has officially announced its swively phone: the LG wing. It’s very unique, to say the least. It has two screens, a larger one and a smaller one.
